Blue and White Blouse with Floral Embroidery

Description

This upcycled blouse started its life as a second-hand garment. I gave it a fresh new look by shortening it and adding elasticated details at the waist and wrists.

The elastic at the waist creates a more defined shape, while the matching detail at the wrists gives the sleeves a soft, slightly gathered look. I love how these small changes completely transform the original blouse while keeping its comfortable, easy-to-wear feel.

The blue and white floral embroidery adds a beautiful vintage touch. The colours make it easy to combine with denim, trousers or a skirt, and the cotton fabric makes it a lovely piece for warmer days.

I love working with second-hand garments because they already have a story. Instead of creating something completely new, I can use an existing piece as a starting point and give it a new shape and personality.

This blouse has been carefully altered by hand, making it a one-of-a-kind upcycled piece. You won’t find another one exactly like it.
